Charles K. George
The firm's founding partner, Mr. George, has a diverse and extensive background in general practice law, concentrating in civil litigation. After graduating from the University of Miami with his law degree in 1954, he served as a JAG officer in the U.S. Air Force. He participated in various general and special court martials under the Continental Air Command and First Air Force. Since 1956, Mr. George has concentrated on personal injury, insurance, medical malpractice and legal malpractice defense, domestic relations and commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He has served as a Special Prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in Dade County, Florida and Special Counsel for The Florida Bar in the prosecution of grievance and disciplinary matters.
He has served on a number of civic committees, including the Orange Bowl Stadium Advisory Committee and the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Coral Gables. He has been a lecturer on professional liability subjects regarding construction law, architects and engineers liability, legal malpractice and medical malpractice. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State courts, the Southern District Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals (5th and 11th Circuits) and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the American Trial Lawyers Association and is a past member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
