Maria A. Santoro
Maria Santoro is the Managing Partner in the Tallahassee office of George Hartz. Her practice areas are Health Care Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation, Administrative and Employment. She is a registered lobbyist, AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Santoro is a member of the Florida Bar Association, William H. Stafford American Inns of Court, American Trial Lawyers Association, Big Bend Society for Human Resource Management, the Florida Bar Committee on Professionalism and Florida Supreme Court Task Force on Management of Litigation Involving Complex Cases.
Ms. Santoro has been a past member of Tallahassee Bar Association, the Florida Insurance Council, Tallahassee Claims Association, Florida Bar Special Committee for Gender Equality in the Profession, Tallahassee Area Chamber of Commerce, the American Bar Association, Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Council, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Florida Supreme Court Work Group on Statewide Jury Panel Sizes (2006).
Ms. Santoro was admitted to practice before all three U.S. District Courts, the Middle District in 2007, the Northern District of Florida in 1996, and the Southern District in 1988, and is admitted to practice before all Florida State courts since 1987.
In 1986, Ms. Santoro earned her Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While attending law school, she was a member of Phi Delta Phi, National Legal Fraternity and participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business and English from Florida State University in 1982.
